Cribbage tourney brings $2,500 to Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center

The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center in Bellingham raised nearly $2,500 from its “Compete for a Cause” cribbage tournament on Sept. 8, in the Boundary Bay Brewery Beer Garden.

Competitor Jerry Loreen was the tournament’s champion. Second place went to Nick Foster of Seattle.

The fundraiser also featured a silent auction and a raffle.

Sponsors included Boundary Bay Brewery and The Table, while table sponsors included Duane Sammons Insurance and Bayou on Bay.

The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center is a nonprofit organization that provides conflict prevention and intervention services for businesses, organizations, individuals and families, according to its website.
