Offering flavors such as red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, carrot cake and pumpkin, Cupcakes Like It Sweet, a new Bellingham cupcake shop, has opened on Stuart Road.

The store, owned by Heather Hellyer, officially opened in late July. It offers a selection of fresh-baked cupcakes and cookies.

Cupcakes Like It Sweet also offers locally roasted coffee from Orca Bay Coffee, owned by Jeff Jaquish of Everson.

Hellyer said the store can do special orders, including cupcake towers, for birthdays, weddings and other events.

The store in open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. It’s located in the retail center at 103 E. Stuart Road in Bellingham, just off Meridian Street.
