Deadline extended for Whatcom Food & Farm Finder

Sustainable Connections extended the deadline to be included in its agritourism publications —The Whatcom Food & Farm Finder and the Culinary Agritourism Map. The new deadline is Feb. 6.

Being included in the publication costs $75 for Sustainable Connections members and $100 for non-members. A listing in the agritourism map costs an extra $25. Sustainable Connections’ website has more information on pricing and advertising options for farms and businesses.

The Whatcom Food & Farm Finder is a guide to local farms and food in Whatcom County. It includes a map and information about farms and food businesses ranging from U-pick and farm stands to events and community supported agriculture programs. Last year, Sustainable Connections distributed 30,000 copies of the publication to more than 250 locations in Whatcom County and the Puget Sound area.

The Culinary Agritourism Map is distributed as far away as Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and British Columbia ferries. It’s geared toward drawing visitors to Whatcom County from the greater Puget Sound region and the Lower Mainland of B.C.

The City of Bellingham, Lithtex Northwest, and Whatcom County sponsor the publications.
