DeWaard & Bode garage sale to benefit food bank

The Bellingham Business Journal

DeWaard & Bode is conducting a garage sale on Saturday, Jan. 23, at its former location in downtown Bellingham with all proceeds going to the Bellingham Food Bank.

The garage sale at the former DeWaard & Bode store at 1815 Cornwall Ave. will be conducted from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The location has a few appliances and mattresses remaining. Also, office equipment, fixtures, cabinetry, displays and even some gym lockers will be for sale. Credit cards can’t be processed at this sale.

The location was vacated when DeWaard & Bode opened a new appliance/furniture store last fall at 3944 Meridian St. in Bellingham’s Meridian Village.

“The Bellingham Food Bank needs support throughout the year and we’re hopeful this garage sale will lead to a significant donation toward helping the hungry in our community,” said Curt Grady, DeWaard & Bode store manager.

DeWaard & Bode, founded in 1946, also has an outlet center at 4175 Hannegan Road, just north of East Bakerview Road. For more information, call (360) 733-5900 or visit
