Common Threads Farm will host its first annual “Diggin’ the Beats” summer fundraiser at Boundary Bay Brewery from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., July 23.

The family friendly event will feature live music from The Violins, Falling Up Stairs, Peadar MacMahon and 8 Hand Reel, a raffle for prizes donated by local businesses, and a farm-style dinner.

A bike from Kulshan Cycles, a coffee-lover’s gift basket from Starbucks and an organic Thanksgiving turkey from Common Threads Farm will be among the raffle prizes.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Common Threads Farm, a Bellingham nonprofit organization that has provided garden and cooking education since 2007. The farm helps young people connect with healthy food from seed to table through summer camps, school garden programs and a garden-to-market vocational training program.
