Dirty Dan Harris Festival celebrates Fairhaven this Sunday

The 13th annual Dirty Dan Harris Festival will celebrate Fairhaven and its legendary founder on Sunday, April 26.

It starts at 10 a.m. at the Fairhaven Village Green and goes until 6 p.m. Festivities include a donut hole eating contest, an uphill piano race, a Dirty Dan look-a-like contest, an 1800’s costume contest, and
a chili cook-off.

A $10 ticket to the chili cook-off covers a sample of each chili, a bowl of your favorite, and a chance to vote in the people’s choice contest for best chili.

The festival is put on by the nonprofit group the Historic Fairhaven Association. Sponsors include Avenue Bread, Rocket Donuts, Vis Seafoods and Bornstein Seafoods.
