Discovery Music Academy has moved to the Bellingham Business Park at 4202 North Meridian St., Suite 205. Previously the academy was located in Piper Music’s former location in the Fountain District, which relocated earlier this year.

Mary Walby started the academy in 2011. She studied piano and pedagogy at Washington State University, as has been teaching piano in Bellingham for 11 years.

The academy’s relocation will allow Walby to offer expanded services; she hopes to add other instructors teaching other classical instruments in the hope that the musicians can collaborate on making music together.
