Branch manager Susie Marino stands in front of the new KeyBank Building at the corner of E. Holly and N. State streets. After eight months of construction, the building is now open for business.

The 9,000-square-foot branch houses 20 employees, all of whom worked at the KeyBank in the Bellingham National Bank Building on Cornwall and Holly, Marino said. Those employees are spread out in different offices, but the new building allows everyone to be under one roof — from retail and business banking to mortgage lending and executive offices.

The new branch also features three drive-through banking lanes and free parking, which the other downtown branch couldn’t offer, said retail manager Mary Hudson.
