Christopher D. Sprowl has been named Regional Vice President for PeaceHealth Medical Group (PHMG.)
Sprowl, the founder and former CEO of an integrated physician network in Louisville, Colo., also founded Healthcare Value Applications, Inc., a firm that consults with communities across the country to establish clinically integrated networks of healthcare providers. Nancy Steiger, CEO and chief mission officer for PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, said Sprowl has demonstrated a commitment to quality, patient-centered care.
“Dr. Sprowl is a strong leader with extensive clinical and business experience,” Steiger said in a press release. “I am confident that he brings openness and a spirit of collaboration to our work together.”
Sprowl earned his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his internship and residency in family practice at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colo. He received a Master of Medical Management from Marshall School of Business, at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Calif.
PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, which includes a not-for-profit full-service hospital sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, is part of the PeaceHealth system with medical centers in Alaska, Washington and Oregon. In addition to the hospital and PeaceHealth Medical Group, PeaceHealth’s local services include several Centers of Excellence, PeaceHealth Laboratories, a specialty clinic in Sedro-Woolley and a critical access hospital being developed on San Juan Island.
