Dr. Denis Holmes joined Dr. Mira Swiecicki at Spyglass Optik on June 1.

Holmes has practiced eye care in Bellingham for 31 years and previously had an office at 414 Girard St.

Spyglass Optik is at 11 Bellwether Way, Suite 104. Swiecicki purchased Spyglass Optik on February 1, 2013, and practices at both Spyglass Optik and the Lynden Vision Clinic.

Spyglass Optik provides routine and medical eye care, including examinations for diabetes and glaucoma, dry eye therapy and emergency services. They provide specialty contact lenses and InfantSEE exams, a public health program, and will give free comprehensive eye assessments to infants between six and 12 months old, according to a press release from the company.

Holmes said in the release that insurance plans won’t change for his patients, and his receptionist and optician will remain part of his practice.
