New endeavor merges primary, alternative care

Advanced Sports Chiropractic’s Dr. Bob Curtis is in the process of moving to a new, larger location where he will be joined by his wife, Kristin Curtis, an advanced registered nurse practitioner who is opening a family practice medical clinic under the same roof.

Kirstin and Bob felt that in a town open to all forms of health care, working together would be a perfect fit for Bellingham.

“Blending the concept of health and wellness from a chiropractic, alternative care perspective with mainstream health care will be uncharted waters for some patients and providers,” Bob said. “Most people know that preventing problems from occurring is far more effective than waiting until you break. Getting all patients to think progressively about their health is our number one goal.”

The office for both practices will be at 2101 Cornwall Ave. Suite 101, where Bob has been for two years. Licensed massage therapist Kevin Hardman of Massage Works has worked with Bob for most of that duration and that partnership will continue in the new space.

Advanced Sports Chiropractic should be in the new space near the beginning of October and Kristin’s clinic, Mt. Shuksan Family Medicine, anticipates accepting patients starting Nov. 2.
