Rodolfo Hurtado, program manager at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, will speak at a luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Northwood Hall, at 3240 Northwest Ave., Bellingham.
Hurtado will speak about the history of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and discuss cases from the group’s Seattle district office, in addition to providing awareness and understanding of discrimination and harassment issues, according to a press release.
The Mt. Baker Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management will host the luncheon. The luncheon is open to the general public. For non-members, lunch and program costs $25. Attending just the program is $12. For students, lunch and the program costs $12, while just the program is free. Chapter members pay $20 for the lunch and program.
