'Eat Local EVERY Week' event kicks off May 27

Eat Local EVERY Week, a weekly event where local restaurants showcase local ingredients to promote Whatcom County’s bounty, will start May 27 and take place every Thursday until October.

The kickoff event will be at Chuckanut Brewery and Kitchen with Chef Rob Morrell. A happy hour celebration will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and  Kristi Nelson, a local folk musician, will perform at 8 p.m.

The June 3 event will be at the Lettered Streets Coffee House and June 10 will see Eat Local EVERY Week take place at North Fork Brewery and Beer Shrine. A full list of participating restaurants can be found here.
