Explorations Academy, an independent high school in Bellingham, is inviting parents and students seeking a different kind of high school experience to an open house on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1701 Ellis St.
With the open house, prospective students can learn more about the school’s educational philosophy and curriculum. It will also provide a chance for them to participate in classes, meet teachers, tour the school and talk with currently enrolled students.
Light refreshments will be served from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
Explorations Academy is a hands-on, experience-based independent high school in Bellingham serving capable young people ages 13-18 who are seeking an education that meaningfully addresses real-world issues, challenging academics, cultural understanding and outdoor leadership education, according to a press release from the school.
Enrollment for winter term, which begins January 2013, is currently underway.
