Explorations Academy, an independent high school in Bellingham, hosts a visitor night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at 1701 Ellis St., Suite 215 in downtown Bellingham.

Parents can tour the school facility along with their children, meet faculty and ask questions. Officials with Explorations Academy said the school specializes in teaching students who are capable and creative but find their current high schools are not the right fit.
