The independent high school Explorations Academy is holding a Great Mystery Kickoff Party at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at the Majestic, 1027 N. Forest St.

The party will mark the start of the academy’s second annual Great Mystery Challenge, where teams sleuth around Bellingham and complete challenges over a period of four weeks.

The event is the 12th annual fundraiser for the academy. Vegan and vegetarian-friendly appetizers will be provided by Boundary Bay Brewery and Good to Go.

There will also be a silent auction featuring fine arts and crafts, gourmet treats, tastings, dinners, vacation stays, excursions and sporting equipment.

Tickets are available through Explorations Academy for $25 per person. Businesses may sponsor a table for $100. Reservations for a full table of eight are $200.
