Business owners who want to export their products can pick up some advice at a seminar by the Washington Export Outreach Team next month.
“Export 101: Your Door to the World,” will go from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 4 at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. The seminar costs $65, which includes materials and lunch.
The seminar will open with a discussion about developing an export plan and determining appropriate markets. Next, a panel will discuss finding qualified buyers, agent, and distributors. Other sessions during the day will cover shipping, pricing, payment methods, and financing exports.
Local program partners include Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center, Bellingham Whatcom Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Association of Skagit County, San Juan County Economic Development Council and Island County Economic Development Council.
