Farmers, chefs and other food industry professionals are coming together Monday for Sustainable Connections’ Northwest Washington Farm-to-Table Trade Meeting.
It kicks off at 9 a.m. at Bellingham Technical College with an introduction from Rep. Suzan DelBene, D-WA. Keynote speaker Tom French is a chef with more than 40 years of professional foodservice experience.
Workshops topics range from fundraising for small businesses to a symposium on raising, buying and selling local meat to the ins and outs of wholesale buying.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and events run until 5:30 p.m. The event is at Settlemyer Hall at the college at 3028 Lindbergh Ave., Bellingham.
