After a recent expansion, London Health Center in Ferndale will hold a celebratory open house from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10.
The center, located at 2376 Main St., Suite 3, is an integrative naturopathic community-health clinic serving patients in Whatcom County. It offers a variety of care services including naturopathy, acupuncture, massage, midwifery and a CNM nurse practitioner who specializes in women’s health care.
The open house will give visitors a chance to meet with the center’s practitioners and staff. There will be food, chair massages offered by licensed massage therapist Khore Phoenix, as well as live music from students at Ferndale High School.
The London Health Center was founded six years ago by Dr. Angela London.
One of the main additions to its new, expanded space is the “docere” room, which will give the center’s providers an area to teach health education and classes on Qi Gong, childhood vaccination, herbal health care, birthing and perinatal yoga. According to the center’s practitioners, “docere,” which is one of six naturopathic principles, translates to “doctor as teacher.”
The center has six health providers, along with three staff employees.
