Final Touch Cleaning celebrates 20 years

The Final Touch Cleaning Service is celebrating its 20thAnniversary in 2012.

“I remember thinking our fifth anniversary was a big deal,” owner Brenda Ketcham said, “and now, reflecting back, I’m simply amazed and very proud of how far this family business has come.”

The Final Touch began as a start-up in 1992.  As a single mother Brenda would take her young children along on cleaning jobs throughout Whatcom County.

“Initially taking the kids to work with me was a necessity, but I soon found the time we spent together at work could be used to teach them how to work hard for something they wanted,” Ketcham said. “At the time I didn’t realize I was shaping the values of my future business partners.”

Twenty years later and all grown up, her children Kashara, Kiawana and Kameron help manage the business along with Kameron’s wife Sloane.  The company has divisions in Washington and Hawaii and is planning further expansions.  Each office offers commercial and residential cleaning services to property management companies, construction contractors, businesses and individual homeowners.
