Charles McCarthy, a retired senior vice president at Southern California Edison, speaks from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 13, in Parks Hall 104 on the campus of Western Washington University.
McCarthy’s visit is part of the Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series, hosted by WWU’s College of Business and Economics.
The former executive has more than 40 years of experience in the energy industry.
Following seven years as an officer in the nuclear submarine service, he spent more than two decades at Southern California Edison, the primary electricity provider in southern California.
During his time as vice president of the company, McCarthy was responsible for strategic planning initiatives, research and development, customer service and power plant management.
