Free government contracting workshops coming up

Federal, state, and local governments hire contractors for a variety of projects and services, but doing business with governments can be complicated.

To help contractors, Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting two government contracting workshops on Oct. 15.

Government Contracting 101 and Tips on Marketing to the Government runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and Certifications and Funding goes from 1 to 3:30 p.m., at SBDC’s office at 115 Unity St., Suite 101, Bellingham.

Both workshops are free and open to the public, but registration is required.

The Economic Alliance of Snohomish County, Port of Bellingham, Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Bellingham partnered with the SBDC on the workshops.
