Western Washington University’s International Business Program is partnering with several local organizations to present a seminar for businesses interested in exporting to markets in Latin America.
The free seminar, also hosted by WWU’s Small Business Development Center and the Port of Bellingham, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, at the port’s Harbor Center Conference Room, 1801 Roeder Ave.
At the event, Stephen Murphy and Joseph Vogel from Pacific Northwest Advisors will give insight on their experience leading Pacific Northwest firms exporting to the Latin American market. They will speak on how to take business advantage of emerging markets in the region, including those found in Brazil and Mexico.
Murphy provides business development for universities, software, media and clean technology firms expanding to South America, as well as Brazilian firms seeking partnership in the U.S.
Vogel has more than 40 years of international business experience. He recently played a major role in the Washington State Small Business Development Center’s nationally recognized small-business export initiative.
