The second annual Fun with the Fuzz 5K will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 23 at the Bellingham Police Department located at 505 Grand Ave.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Behind the Badge Foundation, a nonprofit that provides financial and support services to the families of fallen law enforcement officers in Washington. Last year, more than 650 participants ran or walked the race and raised more than $14,000.

This year, event planners are hoping to attract 1,000 participants. After the race, there will be drawings for prizes donated by local businesses, including the Silver Reef Hotel and Casino, Back in Motion massages, and Roger Jobs Porsche, Audi and Jeep.
