Gene Bell & Associates, a financial services business, recently added Seth Lake and Becki Lawson to its team.
Lake holds his series 66 and 7 licenses, and is insurance licensed in Washington and Oregon. A graduate of Washington State University, Lake has spent the last three years in the wealth management division of a large, international firm.
Desiring a more interactive relationship with clients and missing the liquid sunshine, Lake has returned to his home state to join Gene Bell & Associates. Lake’s background in financial services covers the spectrum from personal and business retirement planning and asset allocation modeling to family protection, legacy and estate planning, as well as education funding.
Becki Lawson has recently become a certified bookkeeper through the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. This national certification requires that the candidates demonstrate knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles through testing and completion of six areas of study including payroll, depreciation, inventory, accruals/deferrals, internal controls and fraud prevention and adjusted trail balance. In addition, the certification requires that the candidate have at least 3,000 hours of experience, sign a code of ethics, and maintain a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education a year.
