Western Washington University’s Small Business Development Center is hosting a workshop to help businesses get certified by the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22 at the center’s office at 115 Unity St., Suite 101 in Bellingham.
This work shop is free and open to any business or individual thinking of starting a business.
The Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises is the lead agency for certifying minority and women-owned businesses who wish to obtain government contracts. Many private sector companies, including Boeing and Costco, recognize and use the Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises’s state certified firms for their supplier diversity goals, according to a press release.
