Governor appoints new WWU student trustee

Gov. Jay Inslee has appointed Abby Ramos to serve a one-year term as the student trustee at Western Washington University. Ramos is a junior at Western. She is majoring in Spanish and political science and minoring in English and law, diversity and justice.

As a student trustee, Ramos will provide a student viewpoint to the Board of Trustees.

Ramos has served as vice president for diversity for Associated Students. She was also a fellow for the GEAR Up Alumni Leadership Academy, editor-in-chief of the Western student publication AS Review.
