Gov. Christine Gregoire has appointed advertising agency executive Betti Fujikado to Western Washington University’s board of trustees.

Fujikado’s term began May 20 and ends Sept. 30, 2012. She is filling the unexpired term of former WWU trustee Ron Allen.

Jim Copacino and Fujikado are co-founders of Copacino+Fujikado – an award-winning Seattle advertising agency. The agency has earned recognition for its work for the Seattle Mariners, REI, Safeco Insurance, Premera Blue Cross, United Way of King County, Seattle Children’s and numerous other accounts.
