By the beginning of April, Guild Mortgage will be all moved into its new, larger space at 1616 Cornwall Ave., Suite 119, right next door to its old suite at the same address.

The mortgage company opened its Bellingham branch a year ago and, since then, has grown from one loan officer to four. The new space will give them room they need to bring on a fifth loan officer and possibly more.

“(The move) signifies growth; it signifies that Guild has done really well in this location,” loan officer Melanie Pysden said.

The new unit has offices that are almost twice as big, a full kitchen, a door that connects with the sidewalk, which will help with visibility, Pysden said, and other amenities Pysden and others at Guild are looking forward to.

“We are also excited to have running water and our own bathroom,” she said.
