Hart Hodges of Western Washington University will be the featured speaker at this Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s upcoming economic forecast presentation, part of the 2014 Chamber Speaker Series.
The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, at Bellingham Golf & Country Club, located at 3720 Meridian St. The cost is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for nonmembers. Breakfast is included and reservations can be made by calling the Chamber at 360-734-1330.
Hodges is an associate professor of economics at WWU and the director of the university’s Center for Economic and Business Research. In addition, he serves as vice president of Waycross Investment Management Company.
Hodges will be discuss research being conducted by the CEBR, including the role small businesses play in economic growth, analysis of the impact of jobs at Cherry Point, and the implication of rising interest rates.
