Layton Health Clinic, which offers a naturopathic physician and a licensed acupuncturist, moved Feb. 1 to a larger space at 1329 King St. in Bellingham. The move is also the start of the new name for the clinic, previously known as Natural Health Bellingham.

The new office is roughly three times the size of the clinic’s former location at 1329 Lincoln St. and will enable Layton Health Clinic to better serve patients and provide access to additional therapies, including massage, according to Dr. Jean McFadden Layton. The new location is between Lakeway Drive and the Potter Street northbound onramp to Interstate 5.

Dr. Layton has nine years of experience as a state-licensed physician trained at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Ore. Her current focus is on celiac disease and showing patients how to thrive on gluten-free diets. She has completed advanced training in intravenous therapy, CranialSacral therapy and complementary cancer care.

Edward P. Layton, her husband, has nine years of experience and is licensed by the state to perform acupuncture and Oriental medicine. He is an advocate of traditional Chinese medicine, a complete medical system that utilizes acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, nutrition and exercise.

“We are very excited to be in this new office,” Edward said. “Ever since we moved over here five years ago, I have loved this building.”

The clinic also has an extra 200-square-foot office available for sublet. The Laytons said a “talk therapist” would be a great complement to their existing services.
