Christian Health Care Center hosts its fifth annual Heroes Day celebration from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
The day is set aside to remember the sacrifices of Sept.11, 2001, and to honor and thank uniformed officials and service groups who support their communities, according to an event announcement.
“Heroes Day has developed into a multigenerational community event that we are so proud of,” said Catherine Ries-El Bara, CHCC’s administrator, in a press release. “People of all ages bring their patriotic spirits and help us show appreciation to those who protect and serve us all.”
The free event takes place at 855 Aaron Drive in Lynden. Light refreshments will be available, along with tours of emergency response vehicles.
Attendees can also talk with police officers, fire fighters, paramedics and other service officials and first responders.
Event parking will be available along Aaron Drive. Groups of more than 10 people are encouraged to RSVP by calling 360-354-4434
