Customers may notice some new faces at Belle Flora, a floral design specialty store serving Bellingham and the surrounding area. The longstanding flower shop has hired a handful of new employees this year in a variety of different positions.
Among the new florists at Belle Flora is Jenn Helle, a recent graduate of the Seattle Floral Design Institute. An avid snowboarder, Helle moved to Bellingham in November last year, in part to be closer to Mount Baker.
Florist Julie Cluett is another fresh face among the fresh flowers. Formerly hailing from West Seattle, Cluett moved with her husband and two cats to the Bellingham area in April. Before joining the Belle Flora staff in May, Cluett spent four and a half years as a florist for Metropolitan Market (formerly Larry’s Market) in Seattle.
Delivery driver and Internet guru Judd Morse also started with Belle Flora in May. Morse moved to Bellingham from Oklahoma in January with his girlfriend. With previous floral and delivery experience at his family’s flower shop, Morse quickly acclimated to the new delivery routes. Whenever he has a spare moment, Morse can usually be found on one of the computers in the back of the shop, updating Belle Flora’s new Twitter and Facebook pages and working on a new shop Web site.
Office manager Linnzi Baxter started with Belle Flora in July, bringing with her a plethora of office administration experience. Baxter is a longtime Bellingham resident and a WWU alumna. She graduated from Western in 2005 with a degree in psychology, and is currently studying radiology technology at Bellingham Technical College.
