Home Attendant Care seeks partners for charity program

Home Attendant Care, which provides personal care services to seniors in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties, is inviting local businesses to support its fifth annual Spirit of the Holidays program.

Founded in 2008 by Home Attendant Care director Debbie Gann, the program donates money to local charities. This year, donations will be made to a variety of groups, including Whatcom Hospice Foundation, Bellingham Food Bank, Skagit and Whatcom Humane Societies, Blue Skies for Children and Skagit County Community Action Agency.

Clients, employees and business associates participate in a contest that helps decide which charity will receive the largest donation.

“Each year we invite the business community to join us in forgoing traditional corporate gifts and making monetary donations to local charities instead; doing so can make a significant impact in our local community,” said Gann, in a press release.

Those wishing to start a Spirit of the Holidays program at their business or place of employment can contact Gann for details.
