HR workshop will focus on top threats to company survival

The Mount Baker Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management will host a presentation by Jack Smalley of Express Employment Professionals covering the top five survival threats companies face in today’s business world.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at NorthWood Hall, 3240 Northwest Ave. in Bellingham.

Smalley is the director of learning and development for Express Employment Professionals’ international headquarters. He is a popular national keynote speaker who provides leadership, human-resource training and consulting for nearly 600 Express offices and their clients in the U.S. and Canada, according to the Mount Baker Chapter.

The Mount Baker Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of human-resources management through the membership of business, education and government professionals who are engaged in a broad scope of HR activities serving Whatcom County, according to the organization.
