Industrial Credit Union will host two free community shred events on April 13 and 26.

Whatcom County residents are invited to bring their sensitive documents for free shredding from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, Industrial CU’s Northwest Branch, located at 3233 Northwest Ave. in Bellingham. The second opportunity will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 26, at the Lynden Industrial CU Branch, located at 8170 Guide Meridian in the Lynden Towne Plaza.

Industrial CU provides this opportunity for community members to securely dispose of documents with personal information in an effort to prevent local identity theft. The shredding limit will be five boxes per person.
