Info session on WWU innovation engineering class, March 20

The College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University is hosting an information session on a new course covering innovative system design; the session will start at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, in Room 302 of WWU’s Academic Instructional Center West.

The class, titled “Innovation Engineering I: Create,” will be taught by Dan Purdy, adjunct professor of marketing at WWU. Purdy will working with industry expert Denny Organ in the class, which is open to community members and begins April 1.

Participants will learn the principles of innovation engineering, including how to increase the speed of innovation and decrease risk. The course, which is designed for all industries and professionals, will consist of online lectures coupled with hands-on workshops.

The coursework has been developed in partnership with industry members, including Impact Washington, a nonprofit organization that works to help Washington state manufacturers compete globally.
