Peoples Bank recently announced that Jeffrey H. Jansen has joined the Whatcom County business banking team as vice president and commercial lending officer at the bank’s Lynden Financial Center, located at 418 Grover St. in Lynden.
Jansen is a third-generation Lynden native and follows his grandfather, W.B. VanderGriend, as a veteran community banker. He has served the banking needs of Whatcom County residents since 1985. He graduated from Northwestern College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts. He is active in the local community as president of the Lynden Christian School Board and as a member and past president of the Mt. Baker Rotary Club. In addition, he served his country for 13 years in the U.S. Army Reserves.
