Jimmy John's donating April 16 profits to Oso relief

Jimmy John’s sandwich shop locations from Olympia to Bellingham will donate all of their profits made Wednesday, April 16, in support of families impacted by the March 22 landslide near Oso, Wash.

The effort includes all dine-in, carry out and delivery orders made that day.

Jimmy John’s Bellingham location is downtown at 1204 Railroad Ave., Suite 102.

Landslide relief donations are also being accepted by the American Red Cross. They can be made by calling 800-RED-CROSS (toll-free), or by sending checks to the Mount Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross, 2111 King St., Bellingham, WA 98225.

The Red Cross asks that those offering money specify that their donations are for the Oso relief efforts.

A host of other businesses and organizations are running fundraising efforts, including grocery stores such as Fred Meyer, Haggen and the Community Food Co-op, and financial institutions such as Bank of American, US Bank and the North Coast Credit Union.
