Jimmy’s Personal Care in Fairhaven is celebrating its five-year anniversary with a spa remodel and the opening of Jimmy’s Vietnamese Sandwich Bar next door.

Jimmy Nguyen of Bellingham opened the salon in 2008. It offers nail services, facials, microdermabrasion and chair massage. Pedicure demand has grown substantially, Nguyen said in a press release, leading the salon to add three more spa chairs for a total of eight, as well as hire more staff.

The salon, located at 1327 11th St., specializes is using natural skin products, non-formaldehyde polishes, and self-sanitizing, ozone-purified pedicure thrones. The space is available to rent for catered groups and has been popular with bridesmaid parties.

Jimmy’s Vietnamese Sandwich Bar offers a full bar, along with Vietnamese sandwiches, sales, noodles and spring rolls. The sandwich bar is open seasonally with both indoor and sidewalk seating.
