Tom Kenney has been named Washington Federal’s northern Washington regional president and will be responsible for all of the bank’s operations throughout the region.

Kennery has more than 30 years of experience in banking and finance. He also worked as the vice president of finance for Haggen Inc., prior to being hired at Washington Federal.

Kenney has been a board member for several community and nonprofit organizations in Whatcom County, including the Whatcom Hospice Foundation, the Northwest Economic Council, the United Way of Whatcom County and the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
