KulshanCLT to host anniversary party, Nov. 8

The nonprofit Kulshan Community Land Trust will celebrate its 14th anniversary with a party from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at The Leopold Ballroom, 1224 Cornwall Ave., in downtown Bellingham.

The event is free for KulshanCLT members and for children under 12 years old accompanied by an adult. Other community members can become a member or donate at the door. KulshanCLT’s annual celebration is sponsored by CAZ Energy Services and The Leopold, with additional support from the Community Food Co-op.

It will include a procession by the Critical Mass Marching Band and a reception with refreshments by Boundary Bay Brewery, Honeymoon, Bellewood Acres, Leaf & Ladle and Mount Bakery. There will also be kid-friendly activities including face painting, a family photo booth, and Lego building stations.

Matt Kauffman, president of KulshanCLT’s board of trustees, will give a brief update and outlook of the organization’s programs and projects.
