Labels Women’s Consignment Store is leapt into the launch of another Bellingham location on Feb. 29.
Labels Northwest is in a newly constructed building at 3927 Northwest Ave., next to Jerry Chambers Chevrolet and just north of Interstate 5’s Northwest Avenue interchange. Owner Sage Bishop said Labels Northwest has 4,000 square feet of retail space, about 1,500 square feet more than her downtown and Bakerview Square stores.
“The extra space allows us to offer home décor items such as side tables, photos, art and throw pillows, plus products for kitchens and dining rooms,” Bishop said. “Like our clothing, we only accept consignments that are cute, current and clean. We believe this expansion will appeal to the 21,000 local consigners who have worked with us in the past eight years.”
Bishop opened in 2004 the first Labels store at 1512 Ellis St. in downtown Bellingham. She expanded in 2007 with a second store in Bellingham’s Bakerview Square. Kirsten
Reid, manager of the Bakerview Square store, is moving to manage the new Labels Northwest store. The Bakerview Square location will close in late June, Bishop said.
“By constructing our own building, we were able to create an open layout and add space for our home décor section,” Bishop said. “Also, Labels Northwest has easy access from I-5 and convenient parking.”
Labels Northwest will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call (360) 676-1210 or visit www.labelsconsignment.com.
