At its June 24 meeting, the United Way of Whatcom County board of directors unanimously selected Lance Clark, executive officer of Building Industry Association of Whatcom County, to join its board of directors.

Clark, a Montana native, has experience in trade association management, including public relations, government affairs, marketing and executive work.

Over the years, he has volunteered committees and organizations throughout the communities in which he has lived. He is currently a member of Washington Society of Association Executives and, recently, volunteered on the Food and Shelter Panel of the United Way of Whatcom County’s Fund Distribution Committee.

“He enjoyed participating in the fund distribution process and is looking forward to joining the United Way of Whatcom County’s board of directors, so he can continue to be an advocate for the United Way and support his local community,” said Jennifer Kutcher, United Way of Whatcom County board president.
