Dr. Jason Lichtenberger, director of the Hecht Aesthetic Center, has been named vice chief of surgery at the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham.

He began a two-year track in the position in February, after his recruitment by Dr. Michelle Sohn, the hospital’s newly appointed chief of surgery.

Lichtenberger also continues to manage his responsibilities at the Hecht Aesthetic Center, a facial plastic and cosmetic surgery facility in Bellingham. The doctor is the city’s only board-certified facial plastic surgeon, according to a news release.

Lichtenberger has also been appointed to serve a three-year term on the board of directors for the Mount Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross.
