Local colleges, nonprofits to host estate-planning seminar

A group of educational institutions and nonprofit organizations will host a two-part seminar series covering estate planning.

The free series will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, and Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Squalicum Boathouse, 2600 Harbor Loop
in Bellingham. It is presented by Western Washington University, Bellingham Technical College, Whatcom Community College, Whatcom Community Foundation, Peace Health St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, Whatcom Hospice Foundation and the Northwest Washington Estate Planning Council

The seminar’s curriculum will be presented by members of the Northwest Washington Estate Planning Council, an interdisciplinary organization of professionals involved in estate planning.

The seminars will provide information on estate-planning goals, tax benefits and consequences of certain estate-planning vehicles.
