Erik Dyrland Agency, a local Farmers Insurance Agency, has been recognized by Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed’s “Corporations for Communities” program.
The office was named as an “exceptional Washington business that makes helping the community a priority.”
Two Washington companies received top honors, earning the Medallion Award, and 13 other businesses received honorable mentions.
Dyrland Agency received a honorable mention in the small companies’ category.
According to a press release, the agency was chosen due to its employees’ involvement with nonprofit and community organizations throughout Whatcom County, including Ski to Sea, Whatcom Hospice, Boys & Girls Clubs, local food banks, PeaceHealth St. Joseph Cancer Center and March of Dimes.
“Corporations for Communities” was launched in 2009 by Reed as a recognition program within the Secretary of State’s Corporations and Charities Division.
