Renay J. Daniels, of RE/MAX Whatcom County, Inc. recently hosted a successful S.W.I.N.G. FORE Miracles golf event on Sept. 13. SWING stands for: small wonderful individuals now golfing. The event raised more than $11,000 for the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

“Realtors have had it pretty hard in our industry,” Renay said, “but children’s hospitals have been impacted harder by a lack of donation dollars.  Now more than ever is it important to give back to the community. Our event was the perfect way to support the kids.”

The event had 36 kids playing a non-competitive game of golf at Lake Padden Golf Club. In 2008, RE/MAX agents in North America raised more than $8 million for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

“Year after year, and despite the challenges that face their industry, RE/MAX agents prove that their compassion for the community defines who they are and how they do business. Through the Miracle Home® program, where donations are made with each real estate transaction, agents’ cumulative efforts enable our network of hospitals to bring expert care to millions of deserving children,” said Scott Burt, president/CEO of Children’s Miracle Network.
