Marriott’s TownePlace Suites hotel opened on Tuesday Feb. 17. The 83-suite hotel at 4050 Northwest Ave. is connected to Marriott’s 122-suite SpringHill Suites hotel that opened in October 2013.
The TownePlace Suites is designed for travelers who need accommodations for longer stays, according to a press release. The hotel has studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites with kitchens and separate working and living spaces.
“We are pleased to introduce the TownePlace Suites brand to the Bellingham area,” said Loren Nalewanski, vice president and global brand manager for TownePlace Suites, in the news release. “Providing an upscale residential atmosphere, this TownePlace Suites hotel offers an appealing alternative to more standard hotel rooms designed for shorter stays.”
Other hotel amenities include an electric car charging station, laundry service, covered parking, wireless internet, and on-site business services including copying, faxing and printing. It is pet-friendly. The TownePlace Suites shares a lobby bar, indoor pool, exercise room and meeting space with the SpringHill Suites hotel.
TownePlace Suites is the third three-star hotel to open in Bellingham since 2013.
