Mending Babyloss hires new facilitators

Mending Babyloss, a support group for grieving parents, recenlty added two new facilitators for its bi-weekly support sessions.

Tracy Pippard, who has a master’s degree in social work, and Marguerite Johnson, who has a bachelor’s in science, will co-facilitate support groups for parents who have experienced a loss during pregnancy, at birth, or within the first year of life.

Pippard is a licensed social worker with more than eight years of experience in a hospital environment, where she counseled families experiencing the trauma of illness. She completed a social work residency with University of California Davis Medical Center’s hospice and palliative care program.

Johnson is a spiritual guidance facilitator in private practice in Bellingham and has worked with women and families for more than 25 years. She and her husband are parents of four grown children — they have also experienced the personal loss of a grandchild.
